Course Description:

Learn how to cut wigs for sufferers of hair loss through chemotherapy or alopecia, with a communication workshop led by experienced nurses and experts in supporting vulnerable people. Find out how to work sympathetically with clients and make them feel relaxed. The My New Hair Team will demonstrate how to customise a long and short wig and supervise and you will get to put into practice during the afternoon hands-on session.


Learning Objectives:

  • To develop and enhance the skills necessary to cut wigs
  • To develop understanding of individual needs of medical hair loss sufferers and to communicate empathetically
  • To appreciate the contribution you can make to clients with medical hair loss

Scissors, thinning scissors, razors, clippers, styling brushes, plastic tail combs, plastic sectioning clips, hairdryer and any other preferred cutting equipment
