Intro to Wigs, Weaves and Braids for Curls and Coils is an online course that covers the basics of what they are, how to do them and considerations for caring for your clients’ hair. Led by Abigail Butler @msabigailbutler, this course will give you the foundation knowledge to get you started in this area.

The course starts with an introduction to protective styling which is all about giving the hair a break and using techniques to help look after the condition of the hair. After you have learnt about caring for your clients’ hair, Abigail shares what a foundation braid pattern looks like for a wig. Then you progress to an introduction to adding extensions into a braid, before looking at both braided and braid-less weave techniques. This course will not teach you how to braid but throughout the techniques you will see the importance braiding to both wigs and weaves.
